You could say that both sugarcane and Chevy Silverado are playing a part in helping change the world's reliance on petroleum.

That's because select Chevy Silverado 1500 models can be equipped with the available Vortec FlexFuel 5.3L V8 engine that runs on either gasoline, E85, or a combination of both.

E85 is a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline and is a cleaner- burning, mostly renewable fuel source. In the U.S., ethanol is made from biomaterial, such as corn or other grain products. E85 can help enhance the nation's economy and energy independence and helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. (To see if there's an E85 station near you, visit www.chevy.com/e85.)

So how is sugarcane helping our environment? In some countries, like Brazil, it is the primary resource used in the production of ethanol. In fact, 95 percent of GM vehicles in Brazil are FlexFuel -and can run on ethanol blends up to E100.

Today, Chevy offers more choices of E85-capable vehicles than any other brand* as well as gas-friendly to gas-free solutions. Visit www.chevy.com/e85 to learn more about Chevrolet E85 vehicles - and www.chevy.com to see the exciting, new 2008 Chevy vehicle lineup.
